Minyamim at Sons of Israel

Daily Minyan

Congregation Sons of Israel offers Shacharit services at 6:45 am and 8:00 am daily. Our daily Mincha/Marivv starting time will vary depending on the time of year.

Shabbat Minyanim

Shabbat at Sons of Israel is about family, community and most of all celebrating the beauty of being together for Tefillah and and learning Torah.

  • Kabbalat Shabbat during the Summer months begins at 7:00 pm.
  • Shabbat Morning Shacharit begins at 9:00 am followed by a communal Kiddush.
  • Hashkamah minyan takes place every Shabbat morning at 7:30 am. Hashkamah is followed by Kiddush and a Gemara Shiur.
  • Enjoy an intimate davening experience, bring your kids, lead the davening, deliver a D'var Torah at the 9:15 Minyan. Join this Minyan in the classroom next to the Politz Bet Midrash.
  • A thriving Sefardi minyan takes place every Shabbat morning! Shacharit begins at 8:30 am and is followed by a communal Kiddush.
  • Our Teen Minyan meets several times a month during the school year.  The minyan is attended by our teen and pre-teen young men, and led by our post-Bar Mitzvah boys, allowing them the opportunity to participate actively in Tefillah and Kriyat HaTorah in a friendly, learning environment, supported by Rabbi Shalom Shapiro, SOI’s Assistant Rabbi, and Mark Littwin.
  • Every Shabbat afternoon, Rabbi Epstein presents a class on varied topics, which is then followed by Mincha and a communal Seudat Shlishit.
